Pediatric emergency medicine admits pediatric patients 24/7 and offer support to families on related conditions. All patients younger than 18 are admitted to our Pediatric Emergency Medicine Clinic.

Examination Procedures at Pediatric Emergency Medicine Clinic

The patients are examined by emergency medicine physician when they present to the emergency medicine service.

Hemorrhages, seizures, acute neurologic disorders, and loss of consciousness, which require medical attention within minutes, are treated urgently. The patients who do not require an emergency management following the examination by emergency medicine physician are referred to pediatrics outpatient clinic in order to be evaluated by pediatricians. Patients can also present to pediatric outpatient clinic through scheduling an appointment.

Procedures and Interventions Carried out at Pediatric Emergency Outpatient Clinic

All patients who present to pediatric emergency medicine clinic are evaluated, examined, counseled and treated round the clock. The patients are prescribed outpatient treatment and discharged, after emergency procedures are carried out and overall health is stabilized, but treatment can be maintained at the hospital, if the condition requires hospitalization. Patients who require advanced tests are referred to relevant outpatient divisions. The patients who require hospitalization are transferred to other hospitals with a supervising physician when no bed is available once the emergency is treated and stabilized.
