Experience

He was born in Ankara on 1959. He was graduated from T.E.D. Ankara College in 1977. Following his graduation from School of Medicine of Ankara University in 1984, he completed the conscription from 1984 to 1986. He attended cardiology residency education at Cardiology Institute of Istanbul University from 1986 to 1992. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Cardiology in 1996 and Professor in 2002.

He worked at cardiac catheterization laboratory of Cardiology Institute, Istanbul University in 1994-1996 and he was chief of Coronary Intensive Care Unit from 1996 to September 2002. He took office at Cardiology Department of Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine from 2002 to 2006. He has been faculty member at Istanbul Health Practice and Research Center of Başkent University since 2007.

Seçkin Pehlivanoğlu, M.D., was awarded Scholar of TUBITAK “Post-doctorate Overseas Scholar Program” in 1992 in order to work at “Texas, Heart Institute Cullen Cardivascular Research Lab (Houston-Texas)” for 1 year and he was fellow investigator in Phase II-III trials of the FDA-supervised project titled “Transmyocardial Laser Revascularization” for 1.5 years.

Seçkin Pehlivanoğlu, M.D., was faculty member of Istanbul University who was assigned as director in 1999-2002 education term in foundation and educational studies of “Cardiac Catheterization – Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment Laboratory” affiliated to the Cardiology Department of Kocaeli University.
