Neurology Clinic of Istanbul Practice and Research Center, Başkent University is affiliated to Neurology Department of our university and diagnoses and treats the diseases, which are dealt by this department, in the light of contemporary knowledge. Diagnostic and treatment healthcare services are provided at ambulatory outpatient and inpatient settings on cerebrovascular incidents, neurovascular diseases, headache, dizziness, demyelinating diseases (Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, Parkinson’s Disease, etc.), neuromuscular diseases and peripheral nervous system diseases.

Diagnosis and treatment procedures performed at our clinic:

EEG (Electroencephalography): Bioelectrical activities produced by the brain are recorded on a computer using electrodes. Routine EEG (wake), wake-sleep EEG, full night video EEG (6 to 8 hours) are recorded at our hospital.

EMG (Electromyography): Muscles, nerves and nerve roots are monitored with electrical methods.

Lumbar Puncture (LP): A medical procedure through which cerebrospinal fluid samples are obtained for biochemical, microbiologic and cytologic assays. LP is usually used for diagnosis and sometimes for treatment.

Botox is performed to treat hemifascial spasm, spasticity and migraine.
