Our Ophthalmology Clinic was put into service in 2008. It was transferred to the second outpatient building as of October 2017. Our clinic consists of preliminary evaluation room, 3 outpatient evaluation rooms, visual field and Hess curtain room, and fundus photography, fundus fluorescein angiography and laser procedure rooms.
In addition to general eye exam, ocular involvement of systemic diseases is checked (Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Rheumatoid Diseases, Neurological diseases etc.).
Specialized physicians with academic title deal with corneal diseases, contact lens, uveal diseases, glaucoma, cataract, retinal diseases and strabismus as well as rehabilitation of poor vision.

Phacoemulsification technique is used for cataract surgeries. Special lenses are used in selected patients to reduce the need to eyeglasses.
Visual field, pachymetry and optic coherence tomography are used for diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma; laser-aided procedures, trabeculectomy and shunt surgeries are carried out by our specialized physician for patients who require surgical management.
Yellow point disease, diabetes-related complications in eye, retinal vascular diseases and retinal diseases, such as retinal detachment, are diagnosed and treated. Optic coherence tomography, fundus imaging systems and angiography are used for diagnosis, while medical treatments and vitreoretinal surgery are performed by our physician with academic title.
Eye problems of premature infants, congenital cataract and glaucoma as well as obstructed eye tear duct and genetic eye diseases are evaluated in our pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus unit. Refractory errors in children are assessed and treated, while lazy eye, misaligned teeth, eye tremor and strabismus in children and adults are diagnosed and treated (eyeglasses, surgical treatments and Botulinum toxin injection). Diplopia (double vision) in adults is evaluated and patients are offered appropriate referral and treatment.
